La Crescent Area
Healthy Community Partnership
The La Crescent Area Health Community Partnership is the winner of the Altra Federal Credit Union Employee Choice Award in Minnesota for 2022! We were selected by popular vote by Altra employees. The award is granted to one non-profit organization in each of Altra's core community states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Texas. As a result, we received a very generous donation! Thank you Altra Federal Credit Union!
Thank you to all who have graciously donated to HCP and it's partner programs this year. Your support helps us fulfill our vision: To be the healthiest community anywhere, were people feel useful, valued, and have a purpose.

Neighbors in Action provides two service options to help neighbors age well at home throughout Houston County. Volunteers freely share their time providing rides, assisting with outdoor chores, and sharing companionship. Care Partners are paid caregivers who provide respite, homemaking, meal planning, and assistance with shopping. Neighbors in Action also has a "Lending Library" of assistive devices available. The library includes: wheelchairs, walkers, canes, commodes, shower chairs, stability straps, and other assorted devices. You or a loved one can borrow an item for as long as is needed. There is no cost associated with this service, we just ask that you return the item when you are done. If we can be of service to you, or if you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please call us 507-895-8123 or visit our website www.neighborsinaction.net.
